Responsible Gaming

What can this page actually do for a reader?

This page can point you toward independent help and set out some practical thinking about gambling. What it cannot do is act on your behalf. This site is a set of static pages: there is no account, no form and no server-side application behind it. That means nothing published here can switch on a deposit cap, a loss cap, a reality check, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion, and nothing here can check or enforce any of those controls. Those tools exist only inside an account at a gambling operator, set up and managed on that operator's own site after you have followed a link there.

In the same way, nobody's age is checked on this site and no gambling happens on it. Any age check takes place at the destination you reach after leaving here. Every one of the ten operator listings on this site ends with the same reminder: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules apply there and can change without notice. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, on the front page and at the end of every listing, but the restriction is enforced only where the account exists — not here.

Where is the help on this page, and what is it?

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them. Beyond being independent sources of help, nothing further is described here about what each organisation does.

Why does none of this happen on the site itself?

Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply — not anything published here. There is no advertising or behavioural profiling network on these pages, so nothing on this site is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. If you want deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs or self-exclusion, those are things you arrange inside an account at the destination, not something this page or site can set up for you.

Some practical thinking before you follow a link

Decide the amount you're willing to spend before you start, and treat it as already spent the moment you place it — that way a loss is simply the plan working, not a setback to recover. Chasing a loss usually means increasing the size or speed of bets to undo it, which raises the amount at risk rather than reducing it. Keeping gambling money separate from borrowed money means a bad run stays contained to what you set aside. Taking breaks and talking to someone else early, before it stops feeling like entertainment, gives you an outside view while decisions are still easy to change.
